Franklin Property Corporation (FPC), acquired 292-acres of farmland in Dundee, Michigan in 2002. Working closely with state, county and village officials, the Company sold a portion of the parcel to the Economic Development Authority to make way for two multi-billion dollar engine plant facilities for the Global Engine Manufacturing Alliance (GEMA), a subsidiary of Chrysler Group LLC.
FPC obtained full site plan approval and entitlements on the balance of the property for a 700 home development, which it successfully sold to a local homebuilder in 2004.
